My husband is thrilled with his new hand-crank radio. We have an off-grid cottage in a remote location. In the evenings, he loves to listen to music or sporting events on the radio. The solar panel on this model is a real bonus, although the crank is quick and easy to use to charge the batteries.

Best rated emergency radio, only drawback is Midland proprietary battery, have to buy it from them at inflated price. The seller, ITFACTORY.CA, was superb, quick communication, fair price(best I could find online) and amazingly fast delivery..as good as any Amazon purchase I’ve made. I am very pleased with the emergency crank radio. I am preparing my own family's emergency kit and this radio is perfect for it-lightweight, many ways to power it, the multi-function flashlight and the radio is easy to use with the auto seek button. I plan to get a carabiner for my emergency kit so that the emergency radio can be attached to the outside of a backpack for the solar panel function in the event of an emergency. This radio would also be perfect for backcountry camping or a cottage too.

Great emergency radio. Hope we never need to use it, but if we do I am confident it will be helpful. Really solid build, feels great. This isn't a cheap $2 radio branded as an Emergency Radio. This is the real deal. Spend a little more on a Midland radio so you know you're protected in an emergency.

I looked around for a long and assumed I'd have to make do with bad quality, but then I came across this emergency radio. The wait was well worth it! The radio is absolutely clear, and the lights are really bright on all levels! Mine is one of my favorites.

We've been using it for a few months and it's amazing. The menu isn't too difficult to understand. I was able to navigate through all of the alert options and pick the ones I wanted. Mine is set to only notify me of major events, such as a tornado or thunderstorm warning. It notifies me much before any weather applications, and it is loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night if a tornado warning is issued. When there are tiny notifications that I don't want it to make a noise for, I enjoy that it still lights up.
